First Day of School - 2016

First day of school for the 2016-2017 school year - Claire is in fourth grade and got the teacher she wanted, but none of her friends from her class last year are in her class. Not one student from her class is with her - what are the odds? So she is sad about that, but happy with her teacher.

Miles is in second grade and got the "meanest teacher in second grade!" but I think that means she is strict, and I don't mind that one bit. He is happy to have more than 4 boys in his class this year, more chance for making friends.

I hope we have a good year!

Miles's Birthday - SEVEN!

Miles loves his birthday so much - he asks about it ALL YEAR! He wanted a swim party at Aunt Jonelle's house and that's what he got.  He is a fish - he is the last one in the pool and would swim all day if we let him.

He also wanted candy, gum, Converse, a new backpack and Avengers toys. We could handle that! This Avenger's cake was perfect!

Miles is a sensitive guy  - he is kind and generous most of the time, and will often share his treats, even the last bite, with his siblings. He is sharing a room with Henry and he gets him up for me in the morning and tries to keep him happy as long as he can while I am either sleeping or getting ready for work, depending on the day.

Sometimes Henry wakes him up at night too - most times, Miles brings Henry up to me. But one morning I went downstairs and Miles was sleeping on the couch with Henry asleep on his chest. It was the cutest thing! I wish I had a photo!

Miles is going into second grade this year - he is happy to be at the same school and he seems comfortable there. He doesn't like change, new schedules, new teachers... but he knows his teacher already and now both Claire and Penelope will be at the school. P got into a new preschool program at the school - half day - so they will all get picked up together. They are pretty excited!

Happy Birthday Miles Man -we love you!

Baby Everett's Blessing Day

I feel so fortunate to live close to Becky and Danny right now - I love that we can get together for the important events, like Everett's baby blessing. Mom and Dad were there too, along with Grandpa Johnson and Uncle Bryce.

Becky has the book-end grandkids right now for our family - oldest and youngest. She is handling it like a champ! It doesn't hurt that this kiddo is so cute! Welcome to the family E!
