They All Have To Do it Once...

Miles cut his own hair! Luckily it was after we had their pictures taken...I had JUST had the thought to move the scissors that I had placed in a bathroom drawer, not their usual spot but I was in a hurry to get out the door. Not FIVE minutes later I saw hair on the floor and in the drawer next to the scissors. The picture doesn't look that bad, but it was a lot of hair actually.

Claire's Fun Run

This was a Fun Run at Claire's school, but despite the name she took it very seriously. The kids had to run so many laps - maybe 36 - to raise money for charity. It was on a Tuesday right after morning drop off so I was able to attend.

Miles' First Goal!

Miles scored a goal for the first time today! It lit a fire in him for the rest of the game! He had some great kicks and was really trying to get the ball again, which is hard in the pack of kids that circle the ball. Sometimes your own team takes the ball from you! He said next week he wants to score THREE goals. I said he should stick to one goal, just to give the other kids a chance. :)

It was a cold, blustery day, but it was kind of nice. Especially since we will be sweating by the time the season is over.

Easter Weekend Recap

We had a busy Easter weekend - Becky and Danny came to Vegas and we had an Easter dinner and egg hunt/game day with the Poppes. All the cousins were there and Cindy and Kevin hosted at their new house. We walked to a nearby park and had an Easter egg hunt plus fun relay games that totally wore the kids out and made for an awesome, quick bedtime that night. All the better to get ready for the Easter Bunny. 

Then church with The Coontz family, minus Claire and Matt - Claire was sick, just our luck. We all went to the Hillers for dinner and the best Easter Egg hunt! The kids get candy, coins and CASH. What's not to like? Claire recovered in time for the egg search :)

Family Pictures

I like to time my photos around birthdays and holidays - so this time we were taking Penelope's two year old pics (a month early), and for Easter. My friend Emily took these out at the Clark County Wetlands - I think we barely scratched the surface for cool places to take pictures, and the light out there before sunset was awesome. We will have to go back out there sometime soon and explore - ponds, streams, cattails, ducks, rabbits, bridges, all sorts of fun things out at the wetlands.
