Party Fun

We had a Frozen-themed birthday party at Aunt Cindy's - mainly for Lila turning 3, but Becky and Christian, who share a birthday, also got in on the celebrations. I wonder if this craziness was how it was when we were kids all together at Grandma's house? I'm guessing, yes.

Smarty Pants

I finally got Penelope to sing her ABCs for me - she has known them for quite some time, but every time I got the camera out she would stop. She knows so many letters and numbers already - so smart!

UNLV B-Ball Game

My office had their annual basketball game outing this past weekend and we went to the UNLV versus Utah State Game. UNLV got out ahead before the end of the first half, then went on to score maybe 2 points in the next 8 minutes while Utah State caught up and passed them by.

We were not happy, and debated leaving. But the Rebels have proved us wrong before - we left early from a game last season and they came back to score like 20 points and win. So, we stayed.

UNLV tied it up right at the buzzer to go into overtime - and then we won by two points in the end! It was a fun game and I realized this is my hometown team now, especially with Matt as an alumni two times over. Unless they are playing BYU of course, then I have to bleed blue.

Swimmin' in January

Becky and Danny came to visit and we got to go swimming in the amazing (heated) pool in their timeshare. I didn't get too many pictures but enough to show the crazies in the middle of winter... though 65 degrees out isn't too bad when there is a hot tub around.

Penelope dressed herself and was ready to go early in the morning. Crown and a swimming suit, why not?

30 Weeks!

The rude comments from strangers have begun - ALREADY! Can I really handle 10 more weeks of, "Wow, are you sure you aren't having twins?" I feel it is my personal mission to put these people in their place this time around, for the sake of all other pregnant woman who will run into them after me.

Matt and I went to a furniture store last week to look at recliners (Matt's idea) and the salesman was a little rough around the edges, to say the least. At one point he asked if we had kids and I said, "We have three and a half kids," gesturing to my stomach which is obviously large enough to tell I am pregnant, so why hide it?

He said, "Really, are you sure?" Um, yes, I'm sure... He said, "Only a half, huh?" So this jerk was implying that I was much larger than a mere half way through pregnancy, so I said, "Three and 2/3 - is that what you're looking for?"

I should have said something way ruder back - but I get so suprised at what people say that my mind goes blank. Just keep your comments to yourself, strangers because I am developing a list of scathing comebacks for these very situations.

Disney Silhouette

I love this tradition of getting a silhouette made for the kids on our trips to Disneyland. We haven't done one in about two years, and so I definitely wanted to make sure we got one for Penelope at least. She looks so big with her long hair!

The woman who cuts them out does them free-hand with a little pair of scissors and is super fast. She has been there every time we have gone over the past seven years, and I asked her how long she has been at Disneyland - she said 41 years!

Claire had braids in her hair and so her picture took a bit longer to make.

Disneyland Trip! 2015 with the Hillers

We had a great trip to Disneyland last week with the Hillers - we had planned the trip around Matt's last school semester and the arrival of Baby Hiller. Since I couldn't go on any of the big rides, and was taking it easy whenever possible, we sort of had two separate trips: the big kids went on all the rides with Matt and the others, while Penelope stayed with me and Betty and did the little rides and saw the characters. It was a good combo, but sometimes I missed seeing Claire and Miles' reactions to things, and of course Matt wasn't as good at taking photos of everything ...so it might seem like only Penelope went on this trip, from the pictures.

I loved how my baby Mickey shirt turned out!

T-shirts I made for Mema and Papa - they were a hit! They got a lot of comments on them in the park and at our hotel too

Tallest ride in the park!

She LOVED Eyore! He was super soft and she kept petting him. This is at a character breakfast Betty, Penelope and I went to where we had a breakfast buffet and characters came up to our table. Penelope was in heaven!

All Claire and Miles wanted to do was ride the big roller coasters - like that's ALL they talked about. Miles was tall enough this year for every ride and his favorites were Califonria Screamin' and Tower of Terror (I still haven't been on that one... too scary!)

Flashback Photos

Just some old photos that I want to remember from the good ole days!
