A Very Abbey Road Weekend

Last weekend Matt and I received free tickets to the Beatles LOVE Cirque du Soleil show at the Mirage. A co-worker got them from the NPR radio station and wasn't able to use them. Because of holiday black out dates, the only day that worked for us was a Friday night. I wouldn't say that I was a Beatles fan, but I did know every single song used in the performance and it was a great show. Definitely in the top 3 of the Cirque shows I have seen, and definitely a perk of living in Vegas - free shows! Since we weren't able to take photos in the theater, we only got a few outside in the casino.


And it then it just so happened that we had my work Christmas, I mean, Holiday Party, on Saturday night. We had dinner and a private show at The Cannery Casino with their Fab 4 Beatles tribute band. So we had back to back nights of Beatles songs - and it was actually really fun! The band took requests, though I guess they have something against singing Blackbird and that was the only song they said they wouldn't do and the only song I wanted to request. A few crazy co-workers got the dancing going, and good thing we had the club all to ourselves because they were out of control. Not the best pictures, but this shows a special visit from Santa on the stage. Fun times!
