I turned 35 on a road trip to Northern California this year. Wow. Thirty-five. Really? At least we were on our way to somewhere fun - the forest, the country, the long-cut way that makes Miles sick, a.k.a. Placerville, CA. We spent a long Memorial Day weekend with my family and had a great time catching up with everyone, including my Grandma and Grandpa Johnson, cousin Kristina who was in town from Utah, and of course Erick and Megan and Kenny. The kids had a great time playing with their cousins, who are all less just a few months or even two weeks apart in age from my kids.
We had several adventures: catching bugs, collecting chicken eggs, feeding donkeys, going for nature walks and taking a fishing trip to Silver Lake. The kids love being outside, and were always out exploring or playing on the trampoline. And Matt thinks they wouldn't play in our backyard, if we had one. I think they definitely would. Unless it's over 100 degrees out, like it is today... ugh.
Feeding carrots to the neighbor's donkey - we used to have one just like this named Dudley
A wildflower field in Pleasant Valley - we had to stop for a quick picture it was so pretty!
Matt in the Mountains = No Shaving!
