Bunk Beds: Help!
Maybe our timing isn't quite right with all the changes we have coming up, but we just moved Miles into Claire's room and put both kids in bunk beds. These are bunk beds that Matt used to sleep in, made by his dad. They are standing the test of time. :)
Miles came out of bed probably 15 times the first night. His crib is still up, so if he comes out so many times, I put him back in the crib. However, he learned to climb out of his crib exactly one day before the bunk beds were set up. So in frustration, I turned the crib around with the short side against the wall and put him back in for the night. That has worked so far, but he gets upset because he really wants to sleep in the bunk beds. The other challenge is that Claire has a whole nightly wind-down routine with reading and talking to herself for maybe 30 minutes. Miles is used to a darker room, and usually has no toys/books at night time. So they are keeping each other awake, coming into our room at all hours, somehow timing it exactly one hour after the last time I got up to use the bathroom. We started a sticker chart - one for each of them (though Claire is doing really well), and chosen prizes for staying in their beds each night. That worked pretty well last night. Any other ideas?

I love each of their blankets, and I hope the sticker charts keep working.
